Anita Cohen – St Austell Town Councillor for Central & Gover Ward
​Born Locally, I have lived in Cornwall all my life. I was raised near the beautiful fishing village of Mevagissey and for the past twenty years I have lived and worked in the Bethel area.
My four children have all been educated locally with my youngest starting St. Austell College in September. The two oldest went away to university and are now living back at home.
I am very concerned by the austerity cuts and the impact that they are having on the lives of people not just in Bethel but in all parts of Cornwall.
The lack of decent affordable housing either to buy or rent, cuts to basic public services and excessive development of open spaces are amongst other issues I feel strongly against.
