About Me

My Window Poster to Print
Picture
I have lived in Cornwall since 2004. My daughter went to school at St Mewan, Penrice and Truro College.  I trained as a nurse and worked in the NHS for 40 years, lastly as the Director of Public Health for Cornwall.  I am now retired, although I have just spent six months at Public Health England supporting the  work to help people who are rough sleeping.  I am a trustee for two local charities in St Austell helping people to get back on their feet.

I want to see a government, locally and nationally, that cares about everyone.

My pledges to you
Anti-social behaviour has blighted St Austell recently. While Cornwall Council has worked with the Police and others to reduce the instances, the measures have been temporary. We need them to be permanent and effective.
My Pledge
I will work with the Police, the Councils and others to help eradicate anti-social behaviour in St Austell

St Austell town centre has been hit hard by the Coronavirus pandemic. Small businesses in particular need all the support they can get to help regenerate our town.
My Pledge
I will work tirelessly with businesses, Cornwall Council and others to assist in the regeneration of St Austell

It is more difficult than ever for young people to get onto the property ladder due to low wages and ever rising prices.
My Pledge
I will campaign to ensure that new local developments provide a greater proportion of genuinely affordable housing, and Cornwall Council expands its own provision of affordable houses to rent or buy
